Imagine what kind of dickhead you have to be to lock my appeal AND be on private mode so I cant message you, well I'll just put it here then, @Jones:
I understand the situation surrounding this is difficult with some people's words against each other, and it may be difficult to make an informed decision, but I would at least urge you to consider the very informal way that Abedisi was talking to me during the appeal and his inability to produce any actual evidence other than a single flick shot. Whatever, but please also think about the number of people who couldn't actually make a decision as to whether or not I was hacking from the evidence he provided, and purely based their suspicions based off of my playstyle, which I find unfair as that is simply how I have learnt to play the game.
Just something to add in the middle, me saying that I used the account for 2 weeks was quite clearly an approximation, so using the fact that I had the account for longer than that is quite annoying, as you have clearly misunderstood me and then though that I was intentionally lying about having a newer account, for what reason I do not know.
On to the old account issue. You may not have personal experience recovering an account, particularly in the case of where it gets hacked, but it is much more difficult than it should be, partly due to the ineffectiveness of valve support. Believe me, as soon as I found out that I got hacked I messaged every single valve support I could find, but they could not prove my ownership of the account because:
1. My home router has dynamic IP built in, so there was no IP that they could easily see that my account was connected to from a different location (this also caused me to not notice that they had access to my email either, as I had disabled the "connected from new location" emails).
2. I had not set up mobile authentication as I was perfectly fine using my email to receive my guard codes, and I had the steam guard backup codes (which, if you do not know, are around 20 codes which will always work if you can't use steam guard, however immediately after they signed in they reset them, so they did not work).
3. The ~£1500 value of my account was over the course of around 7 years, so I did not consider my account to be worth as much as it was, as all of the little additions of games, skins etc. added up over time. Therefore, I did not think that my account would be worth enough to bother setting up more authentication.
Please do read all that I have said above, and don't skim through to the end. Personally, I would appreciate it if you would consider unbanning me, or as I know it is difficult for you to make a judgement, consider converting the permanent ban to a temporary one.
